Testimonies from previous interns
"Doing a trainee-ship with Cara International has been a great opportunity for improving my language skills, learning how to deal with customers and international partners. I learn many interesting things about the internship and visa programs and I enjoyed working in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Working in the Au Pair side of the business gave me the opportunity to further my communication skills interacting with many Irish families and to put my knowledge into practice. I’m sure this experience will be useful to me in the future and will add value to my CV".
"My internship with Cara International allowed me obviously to improve my English, as I spent 4 months in Ireland, but above all it gave me the opportunity to have a real glimpse of the business world.
In charge of the Au Pair section, I had to match Au Pairs from all over the world with Families, find new international partners and promote Cara International’s agency.
I gained a concrete professional experience, which will get me ready for my future job.
Moreover, Ireland is a beautiful country, where people are welcoming, landscapes amazing and pubs’ atmosphere is awesome!"

"It’s an amazing experience! I was in an internship for three months in Cara International and I have learned so much things and I discovered a beautiful country, with so many different landscapes. And Irish people are so nice, friendly and open-minded. And working for a company like Cara International is really interesting to see how to manage an agency. Moreover, I could do different duties like marketing, communication, recruitment.
It’s really a nice work experience".
"I really believe that one of the best decisions of my life was to come to Cara International and do my internship in Ireland.
Caroline was very helpful from the very first moment, not just regarding work but to help me settling into my new home.
In the first 2 or 3 weeks I needed guidance to be able to run the Au Pair Department. I felt uneasy because I asked a lot of questions but I had to realize that this the way I will learn everything.
In my last 2 months I really began to enjoy my job, I kept telling that I do not want to return home.
I have made connections not just with the Au Pair girls but with the foreign agents and with some families as well. I also got some invitations for the next summer from mothers to the family homes! Experiences like these are really worth working for! I will spend my last week saying goodbye to everyone.
"I have to say that my first job was amazing and I really hope that I am going to have other experiences like this one in the near future".

"Hi everybody! My name is Alexis, I’m a French student and during my school program I needed to do a placement abroad. I study in ESTA Belfort a business school. I’m 21 years old and I’m doing my first semester of my master degree abroad in Ireland in Cara international.
Caroline Joyce offered me a job to work with her own company: Cara International, an Au Pair agency. She has since 2011 opened a new part of her business named Travel Bug. It’s a work and travel agency. My job was to introduce the company in the Irish college and university during the career fair. She gave me a lot of responsibilities during my placement! That’s awesome! I got to improve:
- My English level
- My business skills
- And my marketing skills
That was really great experience and I recommend you this company if you want to improve your skills and have a better CV!"
